Long Bay Camp offers an exceptional working environment for our staff. Each of our staff members is committed to each and every camper to ensure their ongoing safety and happiness and to encourage respect for one another and their surroundings.

  • Kind, caring and good listeners
  • Eager to learn with a positive attitude
  • The ability to take charge of a group of young people and ensure the well-being and happiness of campers
  • Mature, competent and thoughtful
  • An interest and love for the arts
  • Ability to organize, encourage and participate in various camp activities, camp games and camp duties
  • Ability to assist program instructors
  • Good role models and leaders for our campers
  • Team players who are easy to get along with
  • Experience and love for working with young people
  • 17 years and over
  • A love for the great outdoors
  • Have CPR, First Aid, Bronze Medallion certifications, or have taken outdoor safety course
  • Completed a Counsellor-in training (CIT) course, babysitting course, and/or child education courses at school
